Mrs. T. Gorden has been appointed as new Head of the Department.
On 23 March 2026, the Department of Philosophy at the University of Jaffna officially announced the appointment of Mrs.T. Gorden as its new Head. The hand-over ceremony was marked by the outgoing Head, who got appointment as Senior Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy, University of Peradeniya (who held the position from 3 October 2025 until 22 March 2026), formally passing the department’s key to Mrs Gorden.
