International Webinar Series 50 on Youth, Truth & The Meaning of Life
The 50th instantiation of the webinar series “Youth, Truth & The Meaning of Life”, that was jointly conducted by the Department of Philosophy and the Well-Being Center of University of Jaffna, took place on 1st of January, 2023 from 8.00 p.m to 9.30 pm (SL time) successfully.
The plenary was composed of students and lecturers from the University of Jaffna and guests and evaluators from USA and India. Three students conducted their presentations on different essential topics. Sans the slightest doubt, the presentations were inspirational, engaging, and definitely necessary to shape our understanding of who we are and to realize what we want in our life.
The presenters were able to also defend the core theses of their presentations in the face of the questions raised by other participants and evaluators with providing practical life examples. At the end of the session, the presenters and other students shared their opinions about this program.
They showed value in this wonderful opportunity to share their views in an international forum and understand that that was a privilege since university students rarely get such opportunities, if at all. Overall, it was another great and interactive session.
